How to brand the acceptance page your credential recipients see

The acceptance page is the first POK screen a recipient ever sees: it opens the moment they click "Accept credential" in the email you sent them, and it is where they claim the credential before it is theirs. By default it carries POK's own image, logo and colors. From the "Acceptance page" section of Branding, you replace those with your own image or logo, your own colors and your own message instead.

Acceptance page branding is a premium feature, enabled per organization. To turn it on, talk to your account executive or write to contact@pok.tech.

Recipients are not blocked by any of this. Without the feature enabled, or before you save your first customization, they still accept their credential normally. They just go through POK's own default look, POK's stock image and logo and POK's own colors, instead of yours.

Open the acceptance page editor

  1. Open "Branding" from the main menu.
  2. In the "Acceptance page" row, click "Customize".

This opens "Acceptance page branding", with your settings on one side and a live preview on the other. A toggle above the preview switches it between desktop and mobile, since some choices, like image framing, only apply to one of the two.

Choose what appears beside the acceptance dialog

Under "Customizations", the subtitle "What is shown next to the acceptance dialog." describes the choice you are making: a toggle between "Image" and "Logo + text" for the panel that sits beside the accept flow.

  • "Image" uploads a photo that replaces POK's own default side image.
  • "Logo + text" replaces that image with your own logo, centered, plus a line of text under it. The "Text" field falls back to the placeholder "Accept your credential" when left empty.

A reset link next to each field returns it to POK's default.

Set the background and brand colors

"Background color" sets the background of the whole screen the holder sees while accepting.

"Brand color" drives the accents, the progress bar and the selected states of the flow. A toggle decides whether it also drives the buttons:

  • "Unified": "Brand color" drives the buttons too. You pick a single "Button text color" separately.
  • "Separate": "Brand color" stays limited to accents, the progress bar and the selected states. A "Buttons" section appears with its own "Background color" and "Text color" for the buttons.

Prepare your image

The side image accepts jpg or png files under 2MB, and the interface gives a recommended size for it: 443 × 604 px, a 3:4 ratio. The logo accepts jpg, png or svg files under 2MB.

Neither field stretches or rejects an image with different proportions. Both fill a fixed-size panel by cropping it, centered, to match. On mobile you get a say in that crop: once you upload your own image, an "Edit crop" control appears over it in the mobile preview, opening "Mobile image framing" with a choice between "Fitted" and "Masked".

  • "Fitted" shows the whole image, letterboxed if needed.
  • "Masked" keeps the same centered crop desktop always uses, plus a "Vertical position" slider so you choose which part of the photo stays inside it.

Preview it, then save

Click "See preview" to open "Acceptance flow preview", whose own subtitle says it plainly: "This is how the recipient will see it when accepting their credential." The same desktop and mobile toggle is available inside.

The preview walks through the same two screens a recipient goes through after accepting: a first screen confirming the credential was accepted and explaining that it is being generated and will arrive by email, then a second screen where the recipient sets the credential's visibility, public or private, before confirming and moving on to the credential itself.

"Save" stays disabled until you change something, and it waits for any image or logo upload still in progress before you can press it. Saving takes you back to Branding.

If you try to leave the page with unsaved changes, POK stops you with a warning telling you to close it with the "Cancel" button and click "Save" first. Closing or refreshing the tab instead triggers the browser's own confirmation, not this message.

Which branding screen do you actually want?

Branding has several sections, and each covers a different moment of the credential's life:

  • This one, "Acceptance page", is the single screen every recipient sees right when they accept, before they ever reach the credential itself. There is one configuration for your whole organization, not one per credential.
  • Page customization controls the page the credential itself lives on afterward. You can create several custom pages and assign a different one to each credential you issue, which the acceptance page does not do.
  • Email logo and banner brands the emails around the credential, including the one that invites the recipient to accept it in the first place.
  • Credential domain is the web address the credential page is served from, not the acceptance page.
  • Recipient wallet brands the standing wallet where a recipient keeps every credential they hold, not just this one acceptance moment.

Once a recipient has accepted and set the credential's visibility, sharing it is a separate step further down the line, including unlocking it with their last name.

Recipients still see POK's default look, not yours

Either the feature is not enabled for your organization, or nobody has saved a customization yet. Open "Acceptance page branding" from Branding to tell the two apart: the pitch means the feature is off, an empty editor means nobody has saved anything.

"Save" will not turn on

"Save" only activates once you change a setting, so it stays off on a screen you have not touched yet. If you just uploaded an image or a logo, give the upload a moment to finish first.

An uploaded image looks cropped strangely

This is expected on desktop: the image always fills its fixed panel by cropping to the center, whatever its own proportions are. On mobile, open "Edit crop" and switch between "Fitted" and "Masked", or move the "Vertical position" slider, to choose what stays visible.
