How to upload additional files per recipient

POK Proof of Knowledge lets you attach a specific PDF file to each recipient during a bulk issuance. Enable the "Upload additional files per user" option, list each file name in the "file" column of the Excel template, and then upload the matching PDFs. Each recipient receives their own document, such as a transcript or certification, along with their credential.

Step 1: Enable the additional file upload option​

  1. In the "Recipient Data" accordion, enable the option "Upload additional files per user".
  2. Download the sample Excel file with the expected attribute model. Use it as the template for the recipient information.

Step 2: Fill out the Excel with the file names​

  1. In the downloaded Excel file, locate the column labeled "file".
  2. In that column, enter the name of the PDF you want to attach for each recipient. Always include the file extension. For example, to attach a PDF named "JohnDoe_notes" for recipient John Doe, write JohnDoe_notes.pdf in the "file" column of his row.
  3. Save the Excel file.

Step 3: Upload the PDF files​

  1. After uploading the updated Excel file, go to the "Upload additional file(s) (optional)" box.
  2. Upload the PDF files that match the names you entered in the Excel. Make sure that:
    • The file names match the "file" column exactly.
    • Every file is in PDF format.

Name the attached file​

Finally, you can give the attached file a display name. That name appears on the credential page in the same way for every file you linked to each recipient.

Important considerations​

  • Exact name matching: each PDF file name must match the "file" column exactly, including capitalization and extension.
  • PDF only: only files in PDF format are accepted.
  • Check before uploading: confirm that all files are correctly named and ready before you upload them.
